About Me

I am mostly a self-taught artist though I began my creative adventures studying fashion design and retail marketing. My love of the communities where I have primarily lived, New Orleans, Asheville and Jackson, MS, reflect my worldview and have compelled me to examine and embrace peoples and cultures, to bring them together through understanding and activism.

With my hand and heart working earnestly together, my art appears as a creative exploration over time. Though seemingly disjointed, it has emerged cohesively in these collections along a path of twists, turns and false starts to settle on what grooves and moves me the most. Mostly collage and all mixed media, the collections are derived from nature, travel, photography and landscapes as well as life stories and sequences from my written journals.

All together, these works reflect a creative coalescing of private thoughts and intentional expression. Welcome to my world.
