About this Collection
Inspiration for the Contempo Collection stems from hikes on the Blue Ridge and quilts painted on barns in Western North Carolina. I see quilted landscape patterns everywhere as I look down into valleys and across lakes. Wandering and wondering, I pick up leaves along the way, save, dry and cherish their shapes, colors and textures as I consider how all things natural come together over time.
My love of textiles and tactile touch evolved into a layering of quilted textiles, petals, leaves, and lace, creating 3D elements that leap off of the frosted lucite substrate. Created in color stories of pink, green, blue, and gold, each piece can stand alone or beautifully complement its counterpart.
