One and Only

About this Collection

We are each unique and yet, it has been difficult for me to feel secure in knowing that my path to my art practice will be mine alone.

For monographs, one of a kind prints, I employ acrylic paint and print on paper or fabric. I use my extensive collection of leaves and grasses for a starting point, borrow shapes from found or household objects, and move my paint with a large variety of art tools. I love stencils and stamps and mixing color in great variety. This is a freeing experience and no two images are alike. I look deeply into the textures, lines and rhythms in my prints and often tear them apart mercilessly to incorporate into other pieces of art. Most recently, I sew these printed fabrics and papers together to tell stories through imagery. Each monotype is distinctly different and unique to my inspiration at any given time.
